After Piersall was safe on his bunt, he saw 2nd base momentarily uncovered and tried for it; catcher Foiles had returned the ball to pitcher Bunning who was startled but threw to shortstop Fernandez in time to get Piersall who objected violently to the call and was immediately ejected by 2b umpire Stevens
