Notes & reviews

This was a hidden ball trick which the base umpire missed, but the HP umpire (Rigler) saw. Cincinnati manager Herzog protested violently and there was a prett serious fist fight between him and Rigler, leading to Herzog's ejection; both Herzog and Rigler were arrested at the end of the game and charged with disturbing the peace. They were released on bond; Herzog was suspended for five games.
