Appling beat throw but overslid 2B.
Dykes trapped McNair pop bunt and threw to 1B. Ferrell crossed Sox up by sliding back to 1B before Bonura could tag him.
Dykes twice failed to sacrifice before he popped up.
Evans lost track of outs. He threw to Dykes who wasn't at 3B. Dykes had presence of mind to catch it and outrace Melillo on a close play.
