Emmer and Hargrave had batted out of turn the first three times through the order; but the Cubs did not object because no damage had been done; however, in the 8th, Hargrave singled to drive in a run and the Cubs pointed out the batting order error; Emmer was the correct batter and he was called out to end the inning
