Notes & reviews

  • umpchange,4,ump1b,odayh101
  • Umpire Al Orth was ill and did not attend the games. Both NL President Tener and former umpire Hank O'Day were in attendance and Tener asked O'Day if he'd be willing to fill-in for Orth. O'Day agreed but had to first go home to retrieve his umpire garb and returned at the start of the 4th inning. O'Day continued to umpire in the National League for the remainder of the 1915 season and the following 12 seasons.
