Notes & reviews

  • The spikes of Coombs' right shoe caught in the toe hold of the box and he wrenched his side. It was later diagnosed as a hernia. He was in pain with each pitch for the rest of the game.
  • While making the first pitch to Snodgrass, Coombs was in considerable pain. Time was called, and after a minute with the trainer, he resumed.
