Notes & reviews

  • Protest=H
  • Fine pickup
  • Slow roller
  • On a sacrifice bunt try, Lindstrom ran into Hendrick and in the judgment of Ump Pfirman, knocked the ball out of Hendrick's hand as he was tagged. Because it was ruled to be interference by Lindstrom, Terry was ordered back to 1B.
  • Mgr McGraw notified the umpires that because of Pfirman's decision sending Terry back to 1B, the Giants would play the balance of the game under protest.
