Maranville knocked down the line drive
Rain began to fall. The sky was clear over the stadium but dark clouds were back of the grandstand. The sprinkle lasted only a few minutes.

Cleared a wire fence, hit the brick wall beyond the corner of LF, and landed in a concrete runway.
During Blake's AB, Snyder was hit on the right knee by a foul tip but continued although unable to crouch.
