- Between innings, Bush complained to the umpires about the actions of a certain fan behind the Yankee dugout who was directing wild gestures towards Bush. Bush broke away and headed into the stands after him. Police, umpires, and players returned Bush to the dugout. Extra police were rushed in to prevent fans from causing further disorder.
