Indians manager Mike Hargrove originally listed Manny Ramirez as the DH and Alex Ramirez in RF; after the Blue Jays batted in the top of the first inning, Toronto manager Jim Fregosi pointed out to HP umpire Rocky Roe that Manny had played RF in that half inning; this caused the Indians to lose the use of the DH for the game and pitcher Charles Nagy was placed in the seventh spot in the lineup, replacing Alex Ramirez
