Overflow crowd ringed the outfield in temporary seats. More people sat on the ground down each foul line.
Game called with two outs in the bottom of the 9th when fans swarmed the field heading for the exit gates which were closed. Giants outfielders were surrounded making further play impossible. Umpire McCormick held a brief conference with Robins manager Robinson, then called game
