Notes & reviews
- Powell tried to score but the throw from RF Smith beat him by so much he started back to 3B. Cruise, the runner on 2B, who had started for 3B, now headed back to 2B. When C Clemons threw to 2Bman Stock to head off the returning Cruise, Powell took off for home once more. Stock threw back to Clemons who tagged out Powell to complete the DP.
