Thon let the ball pop out of his glove after receiving from Howe
Foster thought the ball had been caught and advanced one base only
Reynolds fielded the ball cleanly and tossed to Thon at 2nd--Thon thought Reynolds was running to the bag and did not catch the toss
nearly identical play to the error right before it but Thon caught the ball tossed by Reynolds easily to end the inning
