Notes & reviews

  • Baines: over-the-shoulder running catch
  • Grounder started foul, hit the outside 1B lane line, and suddenly veered fair. Harris fielded it and threw to Botting on the mound not realizing it was fair. Botting threw right back to Harris for the putout. Baines stayed in the batter's box thinking it was foul.
  • Nordhagen went into his HR trot instead of running it out
  • It was now sunny and 55 degrees
  • Bell: diving stop
  • High fastball went behind Nordhagen's head to the backstop. Botting was late covering home.
  • Clark: 1-handed catch leaning into the stands
  • Hit on the left arm
  • Bell: diving stop
  • Campaneris: running backhanded catch on the line
  • Line drive off Trout's right arm
