Notes & reviews
- sub,nealg101,'Greasy Neale',0,2,12 $Herzog became dizzy and sat down on first base for several minutes. Neale was allowed to be a courtesy runner for Herzog.
- Herzog took his place at SS in the bottom of the inning.
- Pitcher fielded grounder and ran Bescher back to 3rd where Long was now also standing. Both were tagged and Long was declared out. Pitcher then made wild throw trying to nail Miller who had rounded 1st base. The errant throw allowed Bescher to score and Miller to reach 3rd.
- attempted double-steal
