Notes & reviews
- High throw, Wills unable to make tag.
- Pitch got away from Torborg, who then stumbled, allowing Pfeil to beat throw to 1B.
- Moeller up throwing in LA bullpen.
- Infield Fly.
- Off Harrelson's glove into short LF. Clendenon faked Wills into thinking there was a play at 1B so he ran through the base and had no chance to take 2B.
- Long fly slicing away from Agee to the wall in RCF.
- Good curve had Koonce bailing.
- Agee had 3B stolen, but Pfeil broke late for 2B and Torborg threw behind him to 1B. Dodgers broadcast says Agee was credited with SB, presumably based on word from official scorer. LA Times and NY Times both credit him with 3 SB, NY Daily News says 2. Broadcast makes clear Pfeil was not running on the pitch, probably missing a sign.
- Drive over Swoboda's head, he got a glove on it, but dropped it and landed hard on the warning track.
- Davis tied Zack Wheat's post-1900 franchise record by extending his hit streak to 29 games.
- Nice play by Sudakis robbed a hit.
- Nice scoop by Parker on a low throw.
- Agee made it close at 3B with a great throw.
- High chopper over Pfeil's head down LF line.
- Swoboda barehanded a big hop to hold Sudakis at 1B.
- Tough play for Torborg in the bright sun.
- HR #3 over gate in LF fence.
- Great stop by Harrelson in the hole saved a run.
- HR #23 deep into lower stands over LF fence.
- Quick mound visit by pitching coach Red Adams.
- Off RF wall.
- One hop to wall at 380' sign.
- ML debut for Garvey.
- Garvey's bat went flying past 3B on swinging third strike.
- Boswell took a little too much time and Wills beat it.
- Off Mikkelsen's leg.
