Catcher Cooper ejected by HP umpire Conlan for making too many visits to mound to calm his pitcher; he was the only catcher on the Cardinals roster so they brought in the bullpen catcher (he had signed a player's contract) to finish the strikeout; it was his major league debut and he caught one pitch for strike 3 to end game
