'Ott appeared at bat after Farrell in the 3rd inning. There was an outcry from the fans in the stands that the Giants were batting out of order. Bill Terry came to the screen in front of the press box and explained that Manager McGraw had written the batting order wrong at the start of the game and it was now reversed with Ott batting ahead of Terry.'
