- With a count of 2 & 1 to Speaker, Harris was ejected by Ump Holmes for arguing balls & strikes.
- When the game ended, excited fans poured on the field and surrounded Ump Holmes. While one fan shook his finger at the umpire another struck him in the face, knocking him against a wall. Ump Moriarty, players, and police came to the rescue. A crowd of several thousands was then dispersed by a squad of bluecoats.
