A shift in the batting order caused considerable confusion during the day. The first time (here) resulted in Jacobson being declared out after Williams batted out of turn and walked; Williams batted again with Foster on 1B.
Pitcher Shocker and RFer Tobin ejected by 1B umpire Rowland for arguing Ruel missed 2nd on his triple
Gerber came up again in the 6th spot in the order, as he had the entire game, and singled McManus to 3B. WS1 manager Bush chose this point to uncover the Severeid/Gerber lineup mixup to Ump Ormsby who looked at the lineup card and called Severeid out
