Browns Wallace, Leary, and Austin batted out-of-turn the entire game (undetected by Senators); those three were supposed to bat in Leary-Austin-Wallace order
3B Austin ejected by base umpire Egan for arguing Shanks was out on pickoff at 3rd
No putout credited on this play $Following the walk to Williams, Bobby Wallace singled to apparently put runners on 1st & 2nd. As Tillie Walker strode to the plate to pinch-hit for Agnew, the Senators alerted the umpires that the Browns had batted out of turn. Agnew was the proper batter to follow Williams, not Wallace. HP umpire Evans consulted his official Browns lineup and concurred; Agnew was declared out and Wallace's single was nullified (Williams returning to 1B). Tillie Walker then pinch-hit for the proper next batter who was Lavan
