Bush got a welcoming hand as he came to the plate
Spectacular pickup of short bounder and threw him out with the same motion. Dugan fell as he completed the throw and half-limped, half-staggered up and collapsed on the grass just outside the foul line. His collapsible knee was thought to have gone bad on him. He laid on the grass apparently unconscious as hundreds of fans liberated by the end of the game crowded about and were kept back with difficulty by the other players. He was fanned and revived, then carried off the field on the shoulders of his mates.
