- Ump Hildebrand called a strike on Cobb who broke his bat over the plate in protest. Game halted for some time while he picked bat after bat before selecting a new one.
- Off CF screen
- Williams protested that Bassler stepped on his foot when he started for 1B and was ejected by HP umpire Hildebrand.
- Williams had gone to the bench but Ump Hildebrand halted the game until Kenny left the field.
