Notes & reviews
- Wind-aided; slightly misjudged by Welsh
- To the flagpole
- Stock couldn't hold backhanded catch of low liner or else would have started triple play. Ford tried to save Stock's hurried wild throw by jumping in front of Wilson as the latter slid into the bag, then fell writhing from pain in his badly spiked left foot. He was carried off the field. Wilson was also shaken up and limped around for a few minutes before being replaced.
