Infield hit caromed off Jacobs' glove
Cubs manager Killefer ejected by HP umpire Moran for arguing balls and strikes. Entire Cubs bench had been complaining all game about Moran's calls. Moran ordered everybody but Vic Keen and coach Oscar Dugey off the Cubs bench. These banished players were not ejected and could enter the game later.
