Notes & reviews

  • Though Friberg had singled to LF in this AB, he was called out for batting out of turn after the Phils reported it to Ump Klem. Kelleher had been announced as the starting 3Bman before the game but substituted Friberg at the last minute. They failed to apprise the umpires of the change, however. Friberg's 'S7.2-H;1-2' was nullified.
  • Line drive hit Behan in the forehead and felled him. He was carried off the field by two teammates after two physicians had looked at the injuries.
